Do you sell ready-made window screens on the Upper East Side?

Yes. We keep Frost King W.B. Marvin adjustable aluminum window screens in stock at 1668 1st Avenue in three heights, and each one slides to fit a range of widths. Pick one up in store or have it delivered in Manhattan.

What sizes of adjustable window screen do you carry?

Three: 10 in L adjusting from 19 to 33 in W, 15 in L adjusting from 21 to 37 in W, and 24 in L adjusting from 25 to 45 in W. Measure the height of your window opening first, then pick the screen whose width range covers it.

Should I buy a new screen or have my old one re-screened?

If the frame is sound and only the mesh is torn, re-screening is usually the better value and starts at $85. If the frame is bent or corroded, or the opening is an odd size, a stock adjustable screen or a custom-built screen makes more sense. Bring the frame in and we will tell you which way to go.

Do you deliver window screens in Manhattan?

Yes. Delivery is free on orders over $100 anywhere in Manhattan, and we deliver same day. You can also pick up in store at 1668 1st Avenue between East 86th and East 87th.

Can you build a screen for a size you do not stock?

Yes. We build brand-new custom screens cut to your exact window or sliding-door dimensions, in synthetic fiberglass or metal mesh, typically ready in about 3 to 5 days.
