Benjamin Moore Color of the Year 2027 Is Webster Green: The Full Palette and How to Use It
On October 14, 2026, Benjamin Moore named Webster Green HC-130 its Color of the Year for 2027. It is a mid-tone green that balances the steadiness of blue with the warmth of yellow, and Benjamin Moore describes it as the quintessential shade of green. It comes from the company's Historical Colors collection and has a Light Reflectance Value (LRV) of 20.2, so it is a true mid-to-deep color, not a pastel.
Webster Green leads the Color Trends 2027 palette of eight colors. Every one of them is available mixed fresh at New York Paint & Hardware, 1668 1st Ave on the Upper East Side, for pickup or free same-day Manhattan delivery on orders over $100. See the whole set on our Color of the Year 2027 page.

How to use Webster Green in a New York apartment
On a front door or trim. Benjamin Moore shows Webster Green on doors and trim against white walls. In a prewar building, a Webster Green door or built-in bookcase gives a classic room a clear point of view without repainting every wall.
On built-ins and shelving. A mid-tone green holds up well on cabinetry and shelving, and pairs with White Down walls for a clean, soft contrast.
All over. Benjamin Moore also pictures an all-green room, with walls, trim and ceiling in the same color. With an LRV of 20.2, it absorbs more light than it reflects, so it suits rooms with good natural light or those you want to feel enclosed and calm.
Which paint and sheen
For walls, Regal Select in matte or eggshell is our most-requested interior line. For trim, doors and built-ins, Advance in satin or semi-gloss holds up to daily use. See current prices and sizes on our order Benjamin Moore paint online page.
Sample first
Screens never show a color exactly as it looks on your wall, especially a mid-tone like Webster Green. Buy a quart (on lines that come in quarts) or stop by the store, and look at it in your own room at morning and evening light before you commit to a full gallon.
